D.El.Ed Course Details
D.El.Ed is a 2-year full-time diploma course. Candidates who have qualified 10+2 or equivalent examination from any recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible to apply.
D.El.Ed. course plays a significant role in laying the foundation for further learning through a series of supervised experiences. It is important that teachers acquire proper training in order to handle children at the elementary level. The study includes all major aspects of education field. Along with the theoretical part, they also go through practical training.
The curriculum of D.El.Ed. course is divided into two parts: General course and subject disciplines. Syllabus disciplines are further divided into subject content courses and method courses. They prepare teachers with broad knowledge of the subject areas and the latter includes principles for child development, education practice, study of school pedagogy and the role of teacher in the grooming of students.
Trainings: The students are given training along with their education of the course. This gives them the confidence in using their concepts and lessons practically while treating the patients. They are also given a topic of research during their course. For 01st year , 4 weeks training is provided in alloted govt schools and in 02nd year, 16 weeks training is provided in alloted govt schools. Please note these trainings are mandatory for every students.
