There is no. of courses offered by our university for the candidates. We are eligible for international admission also. The Ministry of Education of China proclaimed strict steps known as Interim Provisions of Quality Control Standards for Undergraduate Medical Education in English for International candidates in China in the year 2007, and since then, it has been publishing the names of medical schools which are qualified to hire international MBBS students in the English medium. GMU is one of the 34 medical schools, in the year 2010, which were qualified by MOE to hire international MBBS candidates in English medium. GMU strictly follows the rules and regulations of MOE, China, with regard to policies to hire international MBBS students in English medium, in order to impart quality medical education such as course duration, internship, course curriculum, teachers’ qualification, admission criteria, etc. The course offered for foreign Candidates is:
MBBS Course Offered in English:
(Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery), It is the basic medical qualification to practice medicine in any country.
The medium of teaching: As a qualified medical university, to recruit international MBBS students in English medium, GMU is committed to impart quality medical education in English medium with its highly skilled departments who have been educated in abroad and foreign experts.
Duration of Course:
As per benchmark established by MOE, China, course span for MBBS in English medium is of 6 years including one year of internship in one of the affiliated hospitals of Guangzhou Medical University.

The main things required to get the admission is:Textbooks: Actual charge

Medical Insurance (which is including the Accidental Injury Medical Treatment Insurance and Hospitalization Medical Insurance of candidate): RMB 600/annum.
Eligibility
- The candidate must be qualified10 + 2 from a certified Board or University.
- Aggregate marks for taking admission are at least 55%.
- Candidate should have passed 12th from subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- The minimum age for seeking admission in MBBS is 16 years.
Documents Required
Copy of passport, Senior high school transcript, and certificate, Foreigner Physical Examination Form, Application Form for International Students. Candidates must fulfill the percentage of marks required for medical study by the medical council or government in their respective countries and reach the requirement for international students of GMU.
Selection Procedure
It takes approximately 42 to 56 days after the deadline of application to receive notification of admission of the candidate. If concede, we will send you the notice of admission and other applicable documents.
Medical Insurance of Candidates
According to Guangzhou Medical University’s rules and regulations, it is required that all international candidates have to be medically sure throughout their entire period of study. Students are needed to purchase the Comprehensive Insurance Plan of Foreign Students provided by Ping, An insurance company on the day of registration. The medical insurance should include the following:
- Ping Insurance (i.e., Insurance of Loss of Life & Disability Insurance): It should be till 100,000 AMB.
- Insurance of Accidental Injury Medical Treatment: Up to 10,000 RMB.
- Hospitalization Medical Insurance: Up to 400,000 RMB.

Our Campus
Guangzhou Medical University consists of four campuses. The first campus is situated in Dongfeng Xi road and while the other three are located in the Jianggao, Longdong, and Haizhu respectively. There are different schools of Nursing School, School of Basic Science, School of Public Health, Graduate School, School of Health Management, three clinical schools combined with affiliated hospitals in GMU as well as School of Continuing Education.
International Students’ Affairs Office (ISO) is a specific division responsible for the admission, enrolment and administrative affairs of the international candidates in Guangzhou Medical University.
Apart from the ISO, we also provide a volunteer squad to help international candidates in academic learning and adjustment to life in Guangzhou. The team is composed of postgraduate students, who can speak fluent English and are always ready to offer self-help. They help the international candidates on a one-to-one basis in opening bank accounts, shopping, registering and anything further they need help with.
Under the guidance of the International Students’ Affairs Office (ISO), activities and festivals are custom-made for international students. Some of them are held annually, such as New Year’s Eve Celebration, Christmas Eve Celebration. Some events are held regularly, such as the Chinese Salon for International Students. One-day or half-day tours are organized by us for international students, such as bicycling in the University Town. There are many students organization which international candidates may join to commit in college life. With the help of these activities, international students will develop their leadership and communication skills.
Courts of different sports are also available here for the students. They may practice there and remain fit. By using the courts, they get interacted to other students from different courses which will be very beneficial for them to improve their skills. These courts are made by keeping in the sense that students may also feel relaxed and fresh as not only study but sports is equally important for the students to be fit and fine for studying well.
Providing students with health and tasty food is the one of the main motives of the university. They have their mess, and the food prepared in them is fully healthy and delicious for the students. We always use fresh kinds of stuff in the cooking no raw material is ever used in the university. Good food will keep students fit, and then they will be able to focus more on their studies as well.
We provide a library with millions of book for the students to read. We not only have subject books we also have some stories books, novels, and many more books. As this will keep students fresh and relaxed and their interest will increase in reading. The library has a surrounding where everything is so quiet that one feels no disturbance while studying their books and notes. It has a study environment all around.
Our university has a ground which is expanded in a wide range. Here students can freely sit anywhere in the ground no restrictions are applied. We provide a ground always surrounded by the trees and flowers which make it look beautiful and attractive. The ample of trees planted in the ground gives fresh and cold air which makes a person feel good and refreshed. During exams, our students prefer sitting in the ground and study prior before the exam.
Our university campus provides hi-tech protection to the students studying in the institution as the security of the students is the main motive of the students. It is a place where students can feel safe and feel in right hands. Here we have fully trained and experienced security guards who are trained by professionals to protect and keep students safe.
Our institution provides a fantastic hostel facility to the students. We have rooms fully ventilated and beautiful rooms. We have all types of rooms based on the choices of students. Our hotels have proper security and facilities like 24 hr water supply, 24 hr electricity supply, and Internet accessibility.
